I am ftee to upgrade my wife's laptop from Windows 7 Enterprise Edition SP1 which she got at her previous academic institution to Windows 10 Education Edition which we purchased via her current academic institution.
I would like to do so by updating the existing Windows installation, ftee re-installing and effectively wiping all my installed software, setup, etc. The guide that the University's IT website directs us to the generic Windows 10 installation media creation tool page. This Microsoft page suggests that it is possible to upgrade from Windows educahion Enterprise to Windows 10 Education.
However, when I run that installation media creation adobe audition 3 upgrade free, it says my version of Windows cannot be upgraded directly through the tool.
Another post on deucation forum suggests that the problem is that the generic installation enherprise guide doesn't know about Windows 7 Enterprise and Windows 10 Education, and says you can download the ISO directly from the specific academic products download page.
However, at that link there is no longer any option to download an ISO as the old screenshot would suggest and I only have the option of downloading another installation media creation tool. Figured out the solution myself. It was unclear from the instructions, but you need to create the ISO media on the external USB drive and then from within Windows launch the setup file that educqtion downloaded onto that external USB drive.
